A graduate of the University of Bohol copped the ninth place in the recently concluded Industrial Engineering Certification examinations.
Anne Christine B. Oraño, a graduate of BS Industrial Engineering of the University of Bohol College of Engineering and Technology (CET)successfully hurdled athe November 2017 Industrial Engineering Certification Examination, administered by the Industrial Engineering Certification Board (IECB) held in Cebu and Manila. The certification examination is in lieu of the board examination given by the Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC).
In an interview, Dean Liberato H. Lupot of the College of Engineering and Technology said the Industrial Engineering Certification is a voluntary process which will validate the qualification of BS Industrial Engineering graduate in the field of industrial engineering professional practice.
Once certified, an industrial engineer is now eligible to apply for the title Associate ASEAN Engineer under the Philippine Technological Council (PTC), an umbrella organization of 13 professional engineering associations and the body that administers the ASEAN Engineer Registry in the Philippines.
Oraño who hails from Maribojoc, Bohol is a consistent honor student since her elementary days at Manga Elementary School and secondary at Tagbilaran City Science High School. She is also a consistent Dean’s Lister of the University of Bohol CET Department. (labboncales)
