OPA holds team building activity, aims to strengthen relationships

The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) conducted a team building activity, aiming to strengthen good relationships, camaraderie, and to develop self-confidence among employees.

Assistant Provincial Agriculturist Larry M. Pamugas, led the OPA employees in conducting the team building activity last Tuesday at the Sun Island Hut Resort in Libaong, Panglao, Bohol.

Pamugas said, each year the OPA employees have conducted the activity to re-orient on the Strategic Performance Management System and Enhanced Internal Rules and Regulation of the office.

Also, the OPA conducts general assembly every last Monday of the month wherein the chiefs of research and support services (RASS), planning, administration, agribusiness, fishery, and crops and productivity division would render their reports involving the performance of their divisions based on their targets.

Pamugas explained that through this strategy the problems encountered in the implementation of the targets would be identified and be given solutions.

On his part, Isabelito Tongco, executive assistant to the governor for and in behalf of Gov. Edgar M. Chatto lauded the OPA and said that of all the offices of the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), the OPA is the most unique and lively office.

Tongco was highly impressed by the employees who actively participated in the contests.

The executive assistant to the governor also acted as chairman of the board of judges in the “Mutya sa Agrikultura” tilt to highlight the activity. Rheza Guttierez of the fishery division was crowned “Mutya sa Agrikultura 2018”.

Tongco believed that employees in good terms and sound relationship deliver good services to the people.
