Guv wants LGUs to reach higher goals

Good work combined pushes Bohol towards greater heights.

Gov. Edgar Chatto said wishing to inspire and motivate local government units at the 2018 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index Survey Roadshow on March 13.

The forum gathered mayors, planning and local government officers and LGU focal persons as well as partner agencies of the Bohol Investment Promotions Center (BIPC) headed by Inday Dominise.

The competitiveness index measures economic dynamism, government efficiency, and infrastructure.

The governor stated the index survey will be wake up call to score better.

More importantly, Chatto said meeting requirements of the index means upscaling services of local government units, which scores will generate the province’s score.

Competitiveness also factors in the Seal of Good Local Governance which Chatto would like for all LGUs to attain, especially as national government looks at SGLG as criteria when awarding programs and projects.

In the same forum, Chatto also took the oath of the officers of the Bohol Competitiveness Council.

Partners of Bohol Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) also re-affirmed commitment to service delivery. (EDCOM)
