Chatto thanks Bato for job well done

Gov. Edgar Chatto thanked retired Boholano Philippine National Police (PNP) Dir. Gen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa for his extraordinary leadership of the country’s 190,000-strong police organization.

Through text messages, both exchanged well wishes Friday when Dela Rosa turned over the top PNP post to his successor, Chief Supt. Oscar Albayalde, in a change of command presided over by Pres. Rodrigo Duterte.

Chatto also congratulated Bato, who has proudly traced her maternal root to Antequera, Bohol, on his “graduation” after 36 years of tough, committed police service.

Duterte hinted he would like Dela Rosa to stay in government service, this time as the country’s parole and probation administrator.
