Atty. Victor de la Serna: Duterte’s appointee to the Charter Change Consultative Committee

Wisdom grows with age as experience teaches best. With a comprehensive background and a stellar legal career behind him, Bohol’s pride and acclaimed legal luminary Atty. Victor de la Serna has been plucked out of retirement by President Rodrigo Duterte (one of De la Serna’s students at San Beda’s College of Law), to serve the country once more like the best, and brightest legal minds convene to lend their advice and draft proposals to amend the country’s constitution.

Handpicked by no less than the President himself, is included in this group of a select few, brings distinct honor and pride. The only one from the Visayas region, he brings Boholano pride once again to national prominence.

Having served in the similar capacity as a delegate to the 1971 Constitutional Convention and OIC-Governor of Bohol Province, he brings a wealth of legislative and executive experience to his feathered cap.

A bar topnotcher in the 1965 bar exams, Atty. Vic holds distinction among prominent Boholano personalities such as Pres. Carlos P. Garcia who brought honor and fame to his native province.

When the love of country and public service calls, every citizen must heed this call. When the future of our country’s laws rests upon these gentlemen’s shoulders, we can only bode them well.

Atty. Victor de la Serna has stood up to this challenge. Despite a lot of hard work ahead, age ain”t no hindrance. With pride, the Boholano communities join hands in wishing him well. (Donald Borja Sevilla)
