teamINABANGA released P1.98M to CBLA beneficiaries

teamINABANGA Mayor Roygie Jumamoy and the Inabanga Department of Social Welfare and Development (IDSWD) headed by MSWDO Emma Samaco with Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Coordinator  Nestor Sarabosing, MPDO Hazel Jade Ybañez, Municipal links Sarah Jane Gayotin, Shaira Lou Benson, Jinky Mojado and the Kalahi-CIDSS (KC) NCDDP personnel headed by KC Area Coordinator Stephen Cempron conducted the grand payout to the 4Ps members who were beneficiaries of the Cash for Building Livelihood Assets (CBLA), a project under Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of DSWD, last August 31, 2017 at the Inabanga gym.

A total of P1,983,382.50 or P2,392.50 for each 829 families received their compensation for the 11 days of making, tending, cultivating and harvesting their CBLA Communal Gardens. It can be recalled that teamINABANGA provided the vegetable seeds, organic fertilizers and other technical assistance for the program and witnessed the bountiful and successful harvests of vegetable gardens from different barangays for these past weeks.

In her speech, Mayor Roygie has congratulated everybody for reaping the fruits of their labor. She assured all members that teamINABANGA will always be there to help them sustain their communal gardens by giving further assistance such as providing another sets of vegetable seeds, organic fertilizers and technical assistance. She also reminded the beneficiaries on the importance of the conditions set by the 4Ps program such as Education and Health for their family especially for their children and encouraged everyone to continue doing their best and be a role model in their society in order to help the program improve and grow more.

This Cash for Building Livelihood Assets (CBLA) program is just one of the many priority livelihood programs of teamINABANGA that has been implemented to help the vulnerable sectors achieved a more comfortable socio-economic status in the locality.
