Teacher shot dead in Guindulman

A Grade 4 teacher was shot dead on Friday in Guindulman town, reports said.

Police identified the victim as Emilito Amolong, 52, of barangay Guio-ang and a elementary school teacher in the same barangay elementary school.

Reports said the killing of the teacher might have been carefully planned and the gunman may have been experienced in handling a firearm.

Police say the assailant may have entered the home of the victim together will two other co-horts by climbing the fence using an improvised ladder.

The gunman believed to be slipped the barrel through the window and shot the victim.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound on the head causing the instant death.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation on the matter. It is possible the crime may be connected with some conflicts the victim had.
