Talibon gets new police chief

Senior Superintendent Felipe Natividad, Provincial Director of the Bohol Provincial Police Office, designated Chief Inspector Franco Rudolf Oriol as the new acting chief of Talibon municipal police station effective August 4.

Chief Inspector Franco Rudolf Oriol who hails from Ormoc City, replaced Senior Inspector Norman Nuez who was relieved of his duties to go on “schooling chores” at the Regional Training Center (RTC) – 7, Sitio Laray, Brgy. Jugan, Consolacion, Cebu on Public Safety Officers Advance Course (PSOAC).

Nuez served as police chief of Talibon police station for more than a year, replacing Senior Inspector Eduard Sanchez.

Oriol officially took over Nuez post in a simple turnover ceremony held at the PNP Talibon Conference Room on August 7, 2017.

Oriol once served as chief of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) and of the Homicide Section of the Mandaue City Police Office; and chief of police of Subangdaku Police Station, Consolacion MPS, San Remegio MPS, Minglanila MPS and Liloan MPS, his latest assignment before he was transferred in Talibon, Bohol.

Oriol vowed to continue the projects initiated by Nuez and to intensify the campaign against the illegal drugs through anti-drug operations and other related activities. (PIO-Talibon)
