Shoplifting suspects nabbed

After a string of shoplifting incidents, the police intensified their campaign to clamp down on the suspects and were able to arrest four suspects on Wednesday, reports said.

Police identified the four suspects as Esrael Nagac Pandan, 21, of Villa Felipa, Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental; Edwin Cadungoog Ascuna, 21, of Tudela, Misamis Occidental; Christopher Gabisan Tagayan, of Tudela, Misamis Occidental, and Orgen Villareal, 21, of Clarin, Misamis Occidental.

Reports said the quartet were able to cart away ladies’ clothing and milk products totalling P4,546.50.

The suspects were arrested with the assistance of certain intelligence assets and the security personnel of a local mall.

The modus operandi is one will try to take the items and place it inside a sling bag while the others serve as lookouts.
