A security guard shot another security guard on Tuesday after being allegedly careless in the custody of a firearm, reports said.
Police identified the suspect as a certain Paulo Fuego, a security guard.
Fuego invited the victim who is a member of the Provincial Security Force assigned at the President Carlos P. Garcia Park.
Reports said the two engaged in a drinking session. The suspect was playing with his issued .38 caliber revolver.
The victim made a joke to the suspect by saying the gun may not be capable of being fired.
The suspect placed the gun near the victim’s ears and fired it. The left ear got hit and wounded.
After the incident the suspect fled as the victim sought the assistance of the police.
The police conducted a hot pursuit operation that led to the arrest of the suspect.
