Netizens slam the militants show during Monday’s SONA

Netizens made their presence felt in cyberspace after slamming the actions of militant groups from Bohol during Monday’s State of the Nation of Address of President.

About 300 members of the left-wing militant group from Humabol, Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas, Bayan, Gabriela, Anakpawis, Kabataan and Bokana staged a rally condemning the action of the Duterte administration.

They rallied with issues ranging from the Martial law declaration and extension; land reform; foreign policy; contractualization and free housing from the government.

Comments by netizens showed their disgust and annoyance on the militant groups actions that caused a momentary obstruction on the traffic.

Lt. Col. Jojo Malig reported during Thursday’s PPOC meeting at the People’s Mansion, the protesters made a lightning strike along B. Inting street and dispersed just before the President started his speech in Congress.

“Haha, palamuot ra mo. Kami nanarbaho ug naningkamoy para makabalay ug makakita ug kwarta,” said commenter Benchlenn Striker.

Netizen Jennifer Laine Paden said “mao man wa jud asenso kung mag salig ug kung mag cge ra ug pangayo sa gobyerno. May lihok maningkamot aron mo asenso.”

Most of the commenters said the militants are just causing inconvenience and blocking the flow of traffic.

Majority of the netizens gave an advice to the protesters to instead find a job and not just rely on the government for dole outs.

The post, on the FB page of the Bohol Tribune, about the lighting strike of the militants reached 56,250 netizens and comments logged on the post reached about 444 as of Friday.
