Netizens congratulate Corella as smoking ban violator caught

Netizens are sending their congratulations to the authorities as Corella registers the first violator.

Some folks on the Internet expressed their elation on the report saying Corella police collared a suspect allegedly violating the no smoking ordinance of the town.

Corella has been aiming to become a smoke-free town.

At the same time, a netizen asked why there is no similar news in Tagbilaran.

Tagbilaran has yet to craft its own anti-smoking ordinance. The measure is still being deliberated by the city council.

On Sunday, it was reported Corella police has already caught a suspect.

However, the suspect was only subjected to a lecture on the smoking ban.

A smoking ban has been in effect following the signing of an Executive Order by the President.

The aim is to curb down the smoking and to instill improved health of the people.

It is known that smoking is dangerous to the health.
