Loboc hydro inaugurated

Gov. Edgar M. Chatto last week stood as witness and participated in the Groundbreaking and Electromechanical Equipment Contract Signing Ceremony for the 1.20MW Loboc-2 Hydroelectric Power Plant between the Sta. Clara Power Corporation and ZECO Hydropower at Barangay Gotozon, Loboc, where he is warmly received by Mayor Helen Alaba and Vice-Mayor Pablio Sumampong. He says this is a welcome development for Bohol in addition to existing power sources. With the Bohol Energy Development Advisory Group (BEDAG) currently having 45 investors vying to be the power supplier for Bohol, the province has the opportunity to select the best power source. Despite after the much-anticipated interconnection with Cebu, Bohol still would be needing base power supply and Gov. Chatto knows that Boholanos can get support from investors. With Bohol’s need for a huge base load due to its huge demand, the Provincial Government will make sure that our power supply will be consistent with the province’s development framework.
