Lad nabbed for firearm in Tubigon

A lad was arrested on Friday in Tubigon after police found a firearm on his person during a routine check, reports said.

The suspect was identified as Romeo Joven, 26, single, a security guard, and a resident of barangay Alegria, Carmen.

A firearm was noticed by the police after he and a companion were the subject of a complaint by residents.

Residents called the police to complain the two lads allegedly causing commotion in a bakeshop in barangay Centro, Tubigon.

Joven’s companion identified as Jesie Cabulao, 34, of barangay Matin-ao, Carmen was arrested for alarm and scandal at the same time violating a local ordinance on drunkenness.

The police will be filing cases against the two shortly.
