Guv pays last respects to Cardinal Vidal

Gov. Edgar Chatto pays his last respects to Archbishop Ricardo Cardinal Vidal at the latter’s wake at the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral. The governor also condoled with the family of the highly esteemed religious leader.
The cardinal had served well the church, including the Dioceses of Tagbilaran and Talibon, both in Bohol, the governor said.
It was Vidal who personally conferred to Chatto the “San Pedro Calungsod
Award” as a “pro-life, pro-family, pro-poor congressman” in a formal ceremony in Cebu City years back.
The governor was then the congressman of the First District of Bohol.
Last Friday, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Bohol expressed in a resolution the Boholanos’ deep sorrow and extended condolences to the Catholic Church, thru Tagbilaran Bishop Alberto Uy, and the bereaved family of the cardinal.
