More CV cops deployed here

About 80 more cops from Central Visayas are now deployed in an effort to improve police visibility especially in key areas.

This was disclosed in a radio report by Tagbilaran Police Acting Chief Patrico Degay Jr. The field training officers have been deployed to the province, more than half of which are in the city.

About 38 personnel are deployed in Tubigon and about 42 are stationed in Tagbilaran, radio reports said.

The two areas have been identified by the higher authorities as the busiest and thus need more police visibility to maintain the peace and order. The two areas also maintain a sizable number of business establishments.

Those assigned in the field will not carry any firearm and will stay in their areas until 5 pm., Degay said.

Meanwhile, the police are now tightening the security as the Christmas season approaches.

It is noted that a spike in petty crimes happen as Christmas time approaches.
